A blast from the past

Alien Stars is a great game,
it's roots goes all the way back to the classic arcade Space Shoot'em up's from the early 80's. I know because I played a lot growing up on such games 'lol' The gamplay is superbly balanced and silky smooth. Even with a low en spec machine, the weapon system makes for some planning ahead. Some weapons is more suitable for a level than an other. Their have their own strength and weaknesses.. The graphics are well made and each stage has their own signature. The music is suitable moody and fits the theme of the game well. The huge and quite tough bosses at the end makes you want to come back for more.

Alien Stars is one of the greatest space shooter's that I have came across in ages. This shows that beautiful stuff do come in small packages. Awem is a great company that makes games for the sake of playablity not for the sake of the pc hardware industry. Since all of their games runs well on low end machines..

Let's just hope that Awem, will make a number 2. That would have been great tribute to an allready great game.
